TOPOGRAPHICAL SURVEYS

Topographical surveying provides a detailed picture of an area of land. All features are shown to a level of detail and are scaled appropriately to the individual project. Surveys can be related to any specified grid and datum origins, most commonly the National (OS) Grid and datum by the use of global navigation satellite systems (GNSS). Each surveyed point is positioned in 3D, enabling us to produce accurate digital terrain models which depict the terrain and ground profiles across the site area. 

Our experienced land surveyors use the very latest in surveying technology, and dedicated software is used to turn site data into a visual representation of the area surveyed. In addition to the topographical survey plan, the data can also be used to produce further outputs such as cross/long section profiles and volumetric calculations. The finished plans are generally provided in digital format, such as AutoCAD, which can be delivered quickly and efficiently by email.

We use the latest survey technologies, ranging from reflectorless and robotic total stations and global navigation satellite system receivers, with corrections to provide real-time, centimetre accuracy to terrestrial 3D laser scanners and mobile mapping LiDAR systems.
