Ground Investigation

Our extensive fleet of drilling rigs includes multi-purpose rotary rigs, cable percussion, dynamic sampling and cone penetration testing (CPT) rigs. In addition, we have several bespoke drilling rigs designed and built for operating on slopes and restricted access sites.

Rail Services: Our in-house rail team has a wide range of experience working within the rail sector. We are able to provide a complete in-house package of rail services, and we’re a RISQS-accredited supplier.

Rail

We manage the Principal Contractors Licence on behalf of RSK and deliver multiple survey and investigation frameworks for Network Rail & Tier 1 Contractors, whilst also delivering instrumentation and monitoring contracts and remote monitoring solutions through Sight Automation for geotechnical, environmental and structural applications.

Highways

We deliver survey frameworks for National Highways and ground investigations for local authorities, National Highways and Transport Scotland. Our extensive experience of delivering siteworks on earthworks slopes sets us apart from competitors.

Clean Energy

We deliver complex ground investigations, and surveys in the preconstruction phase of wind farm construction, solar PV installations, battery storage sites, onshore connections to offshore wind farms and power transmission lines.

Our collaborative research and development is leading towards transformational change in offshore wind farm installation.

Water

Our offering to the water sector includes turnkey ground investigation and survey solutions for all water sector assets including reservoirs, dams, water and sewage treatment works and all associated infrastructure.

We work with water companies and their contractors to dewater different wastes, slurries and sludge lagoons.

Mining

We deliver a variety of innovative solutions associated with the assessment and treatment of legacy issues associated with the UK mining sector. Services include remote sensing and analysis of coal tips, muon tomography, ochre dewatering, mining investigations and void infilling.

We are working in the minor sector to help our clients deliver mine closure plans safely and sustainably, and address legacy challenges across the sector.

Waste

We are working across multiple sectors to transform difficult to hand waste materials and slurries, by using innovative Electrokinetic dewatering techniques.

Utilities

We are currently delivering work for the utilities sector including Kier, SPEN, Murphy Group and Babcock. Market is in growth. We would like to expand on opportunities and develop further business.

Environmental

We work on flood defence projects for the Environment Agency and their contractor’s. With an overall focus on asset resilience to climate change, we intend to expand on the works that we are doing for flood risk assessment and monitoring and analysis of assets. We also deliver a ground investigation framework for Canal and Rivers Trust.

Property & Construction

We work through all stages of construction from pre-construction services including ground investigation and surveying, and monitoring during construction through to post-construction validation and monitoring.

Innovative piling installation solutions and removal of disused steel piles and structures, along with ground improvement techniques.
