As ground engineering technical specialists, we’re proud to work on projects across all sectors and of varying size, from small scale construction, to major infrastructure throughout the UK and further afield. These projects enable our economy and society to grow and become more sustainable. This includes places to work and places to live; road and rail, tunnels and bridges; heat, light, power and water.

We are proud of our tangible connections to large infrastructure owners, operators, and asset owners, along with consulting engineers, local authorities, mining companies, developers, and construction companies. Joining the RSK Group in 2018 strengthened the business and allowed us to offer supplementary services, from our RSK business connections.

We collaborate with clients and stakeholders through the life cycle of a project, acknowledging the specific scope, budget, schedule and complexity. We apply safe, disciplines and efficient project management, to ensure quality delivery to an exceptional standard.

Impact By Industry - Sectors We Serve

Rail

We manage the Principal Contractors Licence on behalf of RSK and deliver multiple survey and investigation frameworks for Network Rail & Tier 1 Contractors, whilst also delivering instrumentation and monitoring contracts and remote monitoring solutions through Sight Automation for geotechnical, environmental and structural applications.

Highways

We deliver survey frameworks for National Highways and ground investigations for local authorities, National Highways and Transport Scotland. Our extensive experience of delivering siteworks on earthworks slopes sets us apart from competitors.

Clean Energy

We deliver complex ground investigations, and surveys in the preconstruction phase of wind farm construction, solar PV installations, battery storage sites, onshore connections to offshore wind farms and power transmission lines.

Water

Our offering to the water sector includes turnkey ground investigation and survey solutions for all water sector assets including reservoirs, dams, water and sewage treatment works and all associated infrastructure.

Mining

Central Alliance deliver a variety of innovative solutions associated with the assessment and treatment of legacy issues associated with the UK mining sector. Services include remote sensing and analysis of coal tips, muon tomography, ochre dewatering, mining investigations and void infilling.

Waste

We are working across multiple sectors to transform difficult to handle waste materials and slurries, by using innovative Electrokinetic dewatering techniques.

Utilities

Central Alliance has extensive experience in the utilities sector through geotechnical aspects of energy production and distribution networks from ground investigations of remote wind turbines to monitoring landscapes for cabling routes. We work on behalf of MGroup, SPEN, BP and Keir, to name a few.

Environmental

We work on flood defence projects for the Environment Agency and their contractor's. With an overall focus on asset resilience to climate change, we intend to expand on the works that we are doing for flood risk assessment and monitoring and analysis of assets.

Property & Construction

We work through all stages of construction from pre-construction services including ground investigation and surveying, and monitoring during construction through to post-construction validation and monitoring.
