Tom Goldsby-West studied mechanical engineering at Sheffield Hallam, graduating in 2019. Before that, he started out as a monitoring technician in 2013, then studied full-time and subsequently joined Central Alliance in 2019 as an innovation and research engineer. This role involved the launch of the continuous surface wave testing technique, as well as undertaking more advanced site monitoring as the company became better known for this.

Tom is now Principal Engineer and head of the Instrumentation & Monitoring department – driving the implementation of remote monitoring technologies into a wide range of sectors, as well as managing the manual monitoring offering.
