Richard Pidcock is Joint Managing Director and founded the business in 2006. He is experienced in all aspects of business management overseeing the company’s growth from a one-person operation in 2006 to a diverse team of over 120 by 2025 and including the acquisition of the business by RSK Group in 2018. Richard is a qualified and experienced Engineering Geologist with over 29 years’ experience across all sectors in the fields of ground investigation, surveying, slope stability, foundation design, earthworks remediation design, geomorphological mapping and earthworks inspections, and instrumentation and monitoring.

Richard has experience acting as both Site Agent and Project Director on major infrastructure site investigations, including all aspects of project management, financial and commercial management, and extensive organisation and supervision of multi-disciplinary projects and frameworks. Richard led on the acquisition of Electrokinetic Limited in 2021 and established the Applied Technologies division of Central Alliance to allow Research and Development of new survey and investigation techniques to further diversify and strengthen the business. Areas of expertise include applying new technology and innovating, including the introduction of both specialist remote sensing techniques, and Muon Tomography to infrastructure and civil engineering applications.

Outside of work Richard likes long walks with family, friends, and Ralphy the dog, anything motorcycles including trips around Europe, travelling, cooking, growing vegetables and good food and wine.
