Dave Capstick is an Associate Director of Business Development at Central Alliance. He is experienced at introducing new technologies, services and solutions into several business sectors.

Dave is a mining professional with over forty years of experience in the mining and engineering industries. Much of that time was based in South Africa and operating throughout Africa, America and Australia. Dave has also worked as a Principal Consultant for a leading mining consultancy in the UK.

Throughout his career, Dave has been responsible for successfully initiating and leading several campaigns introducing and integrating new technologies, applications and services into new markets. These innovations included first to market capital equipment, mining software and technical systems.

Dave has successfully initiated and led campaigns to introduce and integrate innovative technologies, applications, and services into new markets. On three occasions, he was part of the original management teams that grew start‑up businesses into internationally recognised, sector‑leading companies. These included Deswik Mill, MineRP, and Deswik, all of which were subsequently acquired by major multinational engineering groups FLSmidth, Epiroc, and Sandvik.

Outside of work Dave is a proud season ticket holder at Preston North End and kept busy by his large family.
